The transparency of a pane of glass is disrupted when hit by light, such as from a flash of a camera. In that instant, you see both interior and exterior. The grid of a window becomes an instrument to see the landscape extending and dissolving into the interior reflection. The plane is imprinted, traced and recorded. The extension of the finger becomes a compass-like tool, suggesting we say and see things of interest. Fjord Gallery's 4th annual open call showcases the work of 13 artists who are using various methods to explore how to record a world that is fleeting, in an attempt to present what is absent and embedded.
